Books on Display (Elizabeth Bennett)

 These displays are a way of grabbing your attention so you will read the book. Another way is reading the back of a book. 
 Soon, if you read a book from the Hueytown Middle School Library that you think others will enjoy you can send in a summary. First, tell us the book's title and author. Next, write a brief summary about it without giving away to much. Then, you can choose to sign your name, "Anonymous", or make up a code to hide your identidy(Ex. Bookluvr28) with at least 6 characters. The last thing you have to do is drop it off at the Library in the designated area. After a few days you may see your summary on the Library's blog.

Our Mission

The mission of HMS Library is to serve as an integral part of the instructional program of our school. This will be accomplished through:

• selection of highly reviewed literature for research and free reading,
• provision of research support as related to each subject through whole/small group and individual instruction in collaboration with classroom teachers, and
• instruction on the effective use of technology for research and learning products.
